The first time you join a Kaltura Meetings live session, you are prompted to activate your webcam and microphone.

If you are using the Google **Chrome browser**, when your browser prompts you to “allow access to your webcam and microphone,” click **Allow**.

If you are using the Mozilla **Firefox browser**, make sure your webcam and microphone are shared. As the image below prompts, click **Allow**.

Upon activating your devices, you will be prompted to choose which devices you want to use in your live session.

1. Choose the devices you prefer to use from the drop-down menus.
2. Toggle on *Blur background* to blur your background and focus on the presenter/yourself.
3. Click **Confirm**.** **When you finish choosing your devices, you will automatically be brought to the Kaltura Virtual Classroom stage.

To change your webcam and microphone settings at a later time:

1. <span style="color: #34495e">Click </span><span style="color: #34495e">**Settings**</span><span style="color: #34495e">*** ***</span><span style="color: #34495e">gear icon</span><span style="color: #34495e">*** ***</span><span style="color: #34495e">**⚙️**</span><span style="color: #34495e"> in the upper bar of the live room.</span>
2. <span style="color: #34495e">Select the drop-down menus corresponding to </span><span style="color: #34495e">*Select webcam*</span><span style="color: #34495e">, </span><span style="color: #34495e">*Select microphone*</span><span style="color: #34495e">, and </span><span style="color: #34495e">*Select audio output.*</span>
3. <span style="color: #34495e">Select the devices you want to use.</span>
4. <span style="color: #34495e">Toggle on</span><span style="color: #34495e">* Blur background*</span><span style="color: #34495e"> to blur your background.</span>

**💡 **Only Chrome (not Firefox) will ask you to choose your Audio Output. 

💡 Currently, only Chrome has the Blur background feature available.
