After recording a Kaltura virtual class, you can find the recording in two different locations: the virtual classroom’s file storage area and your personal My Media area. My Media serves as your personal media storage, containing all the media files you have uploaded or created over time. Each user has their own My Media page, and the media in it is private until it’s published in one or more media libraries, such as galleries, channels, or mêskanâs courses.

In order to make the recorded session accessible to your students/participants, you must publish it using one of the following methods. Merely storing the recording in your virtual classroom’s file storage area or your personal My Media area is not sufficient for others to access it.

To share a specific recording and organize it in your mêskanâs courses based on its relevance to the course content, adding a recording as a **Kaltura Video Resource** is ideal.

1. In your mêskanâs course, make sure to turn on Editor mode.
2. Go to the Section where you want to share a recording and click on **Add an activity or resource**.
3. Choose **Kaltura Video Resource**.
4. Give a **name** for the recording; descriptions and settings under Common module settings, Restrict access, Activity completion, and Tags are optional.
5. Under the **Video** portion, click on **Add Media**.
6. A new window will open displaying your personal **My Media** area.
7. Select the recording you want to add to your course and click on the **</> Embed** button.

<span style="color: #bf2600">**via Media Gallery**</span>

The **Media Gallery** hosts a collection of videos accessible to both instructors and students enrolled in a specific mêskanâs course. It is a convenient way for instructors to create a list of all their recordings and have them all available on the same page.

If the Kaltura Media Gallery block is not listed in your mêskanâs course’s block drawer, see the article *Start Kaltura Virtual Classroom* to see how to add a block to your course.

2. Click on the Media** Gallery** in the block drawer.

5. Select the recording you want to add to your course’s Media Gallery and click on the **Publish** button.

The **Playlist** function of Kaltura can be useful if you have a large collection of videos that you want to share with your students in an organized manner.
