Respondus is used to upload questions into a question bank category and manually create a **Quiz** (exam) activity in the learning management system.

> ℹ️ **Note:** Respondus is only available to **Windows PC Users.** Currently, there is no option for Mac users.

# Install the Respondus Package with Password

Start by downloading the Respondus package. To access the password and the download file, click this link:

Click **Preview + Publish**

Select **Publish** from the left navigation and choose **Publish Wizard**.

# Finish setting up the connection

Follow these steps to finish setting up the connection.

1). Enter a name to describe the server.

2). Enter your macewan user ID 

3). Click the box to save your user name and password. This will speed things up the next time you use Respondus

4). Highlight the **Run Connection Test** radial button to test your settings. 

5). Click Next

Ignore the *Login… Failed* message and click **Next**.

On the next window, click **Finish**.

# Publish Wizard

The connection has now been established, and you are ready to publish your question to your course!

1). Select the destination course.

2). Create a category name (for example Final Exam or Unit Quiz)

3). **Deselect all items in step 3**. If you don’t, you will get an error message and have to restart the publish process from the beginning.

<span style="color: #bf2600">**Note**</span><span style="color: #bf2600">: If you click </span><span style="color: #bf2600">*next*</span><span style="color: #bf2600"> as default without deselecting step 3, you will get an </span><span style="color: #bf2600">**error message**</span><span style="color: #bf2600">.</span>

You will now see a message that the questions have been **Completed Sucessfully.**
