**The first step to sharing videos in mêskanâs is to upload them to your My Media area. My Media is your storage area for all the media you wish to share on mêskanâs.**

## Upload Videos to My Media

1. Log in to mêskanâs and click on **My Media**.

2. Select **Add New**.

3. Then select **Media Upload**.

4. To proceed further, click the I agree box, indicating that you will follow Macewan University copyright policies.

5. After clicking I agree, you will have access to the **Upload Media** area. There are two options for uploading your media.
  1. To use the Drag and Drop option simply drag the file you want to upload into the indicated are.
  2. If you select the **Choose a file to upload** button you will be able to browse your system and select the file you want to upload.

6. While your Media is uploading you can give your media a name. The default name will be the name of your file.

7. When your media is done uploading click **Save**. The media will now be available in your **My Media** area.
