**Introduction**

The My Media Gallery is a powerful multimedia management tool integrated into mêskanâs. This feature allows users to seamlessly upload, manage, and share video and audio content within their mêskanâs courses. This document will explore what Kaltura My Media Gallery is and provide a step-by-step guide on using it effectively.

## Accessing the My Media Gallery

The My Media area is the storage area for all of your media. Your media can be shared throughout your courses from the My Media area.

1. Log in to mêskanâs.
2. Click on the **My Media** tab near the top of the page.

## Uploading Media

Once you are in the **My Media**, you can upload some content.

1. In **My Media** Gallery, click the “Add New” button.
2. Select **Media Upload**.
3. Click “**I confirm**” on the Copyright Notice page.
4. You can upload your file by either using the drag and drop method (1) or by clicking **Choose a file to upload **(2) and selecting a file on your computer.
5. Wait for the upload to complete; the time depends on your file’s size and your internet connection. While you are waiting, you can fill out the **Name** field if you’d like to change the name of your media. You can also add a description in the **Description** field.
6. Click **Save**.

## Embedding Media in Courses

Once you have your media in the **My Media** area, you can now share your media throughout your courses.

See the article *Sharing Media in Your Course*, linked below. This article will explain the two most common methods for sharing Kaltura media in your course.
