Playlists are a great way to organize videos within your course. In this article, we will be looking at how to create a playlist and populate it with videos.

## Creating a Playlist

1. Log in to mêskanâs and enter the course you would like to work in. Make sure editing is turned on and that you have the **Kaltura Media Gallery** building block installed.

2. Click on **Media Gallery**.

> ℹ️ Make sure that the videos you want to use in your playlist are already in your Media Gallery; if not, add the videos by clicking the **Add Media** button. This will take you to your **My Media** area containing all your video files. Please look at the article below for more information on adding Media to your My Media area.

3. Click on the **Channel Actions** button then select **Create channel playlist**.

4. You are now in the **Create Playlist** area. First, give your playlist a name and then select the video files you want to include in your playlist.

The videos files will appear in the Playlist portion of the screen in the order in which they were selected. If you want to change the order, click and drag on the Move Position handle.

5. When you are finished, click on **Go to Media Gallery**.

Congratulations, you have now created a playlist. Students will be able to access the playlist through the Media Gallery. Alternatively, the playlist can also be added into the course content; see the article *Sharing Media in Your Course* below for instructions on how to do this.

## Editing a Playlist

1. To edit a previously created playlist, click on the Media Gallery.

2. Click on the title of the playlist you would like to edit. This will start playing your playlist.

3. Now, click on the video title at the top on the Playlist portion of the the video.

4. Click the **Edit** button. This will take you to the same area where you initially built your playlist. From here, you can rename your video, add a description, add tags, change the order of videos, and add and remove videos from the playlist.
