Kaltura offers users the option to include captions in their videos. The platform utilizes an automated caption generation feature, providing a solid foundation for captioning. Following the automatic caption generation, you have the flexibility to make any necessary edits.

## Adding Captions

1. Log in to mêskanâs and click on **My Media**.

2. Find the video you want to caption and click on the title.

3. Click on **ACTIONS** and select **Caption & Enrich**.

You will be presented with three options: 

- Service: Machine is the only option.
- Source Media Language: Select the language being spoken in the video.
- Feature: Captions is the only option.

At this time the only option you can change is the source media language. Select the language being used in the video and click submit.

You will receive an email when your captions are complete.

## Editing Captions

Machine-generated captions are not perfect and will contain some errors. Here is how to access and edit the captions.

1. Log in to mêskanâs and click on **My Media**.

2. Find the video that contains the captions you would like to edit and click on the title on the video.

3. Click on **ACTIONS** and select **Caption & Enrich**.

4. Click on the edit icon, this will take you to the **Closed Captions Editor**.

5. On this page you can edit the text and time codes. Use the play button to view the current captions. To edit the captions, locate and click on the text you would like to change and make your changes in the text editor area. When you are done making changes, click **Save**.
