# **Introducing Mentimeter’s New Participant Name Feature**

Instructors can now identify participants and link responses to specific individuals using Mentimeter’s new Participant Name feature. This feature requires participants to enter their names before joining a presentation.

Once activated, their names appear alongside their responses during the session and in the results afterward.

## **Why would I want to identify individuals in a Mentimeter presentation?**

Identifying individuals can be useful in various teaching and learning scenarios. For example, instructors can track participation, assess individual contributions, and provide personalized feedback. Knowing who submitted each response can foster accountability and ensure constructive engagement in group activities or discussions.

Additionally, it enables follow-up on specific ideas or responses for deeper discussion or clarification, enhancing the overall learning experience.

## **How do I enable the participant name feature?**

1. Open the Mentimeter presentation editor.
2. Go to the **Interactivity** tab and toggle “**Participant names are required**.”

**After the presentation **- names are visible on the Results page and can be exported to Excel for further analysis.
