## Exporting Grades (In preparation for entry into PeopleSoft)
Exporting to an Excel sheet is a feature in mêskanâs's Gradebook that allows you to transfer your grade data to an Excel spreadsheet. This can be useful for record-keeping, data analysis, and sharing with colleagues. Final letter grades generated by mêskanâs are also ready to be entered manually into PeopleSoft.
To Export the course gradebook, follow these steps:
1. Click **Grades**
2. Select **Grader Report**
3. Click **Export**
Change **Export as** option from **OpenDocument spreadsheet** to **Excel spreadsheet**

(1) look for the section called Grade items to be included on the next page. Select which grades you want to export to Excel by checking the box(s) beside the name. If you only want the final grades, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on **Select all/none**. This will toggle all of the checkboxes.
Make sure **Course total** is selected.
(2) Open the **Export format options **section, and keep the selection **Excluded suspended user** checked as it refers to students who dropped the course during the semester via PeopleSoft.
(3) Check the **Percentage** and **Letter **boxes.
(4) Change the **Grade export decimal places** if you choose.
(5) Click the **DOWNLOAD** button when finished.
To further customize the Excel file, open the file you just downloaded. You can hide any unnecessary columns, leaving you with an alphabetized list of your students alongside their letter grades.
**NOTE:** Student ID numbers are included in the download. Please handle the file with appropriate security and privacy measures.
