If the book you want is signed out from MacEwan Library or any other NEOS library, or is available in the stacks in another NEOS library, you can put a hold or request on the book.

1. Log in to [My Account](https://library.macewan.ca/my-account).
2. Search for the item you wish to borrow by using the search bar on the Library's [homepage](https://library.macewan.ca/).
3. Click on the search result record of the item you want to open the item record.
4. In the “Action Links” pane in the upper-right of the item record, click on the **Place hold** link.
5. Select **MacEwan University Library **as your pickup location.
6. You will receive an email when your item is ready for pickup.
7. Items can be picked up on the **Holds Shelves** in front of the Borrower Services Desk.

> 📝 Hold requests can be placed on items from any NEOS partner library. [NEOS](https://www.neoslibraries.ca/) is a consortium of 18 government, health, college and university libraries that cooperate to share library resources, technology, collections and people.
