For <u>[competitive programs](https://www.macewan.ca/apply-enrol/admissions/requirements/competitive-admission/)</u>, if you do not meet the current competitive admission criteria, you may be placed on a rank list. In the event that the competitive average, AGPA, or score changes, you may be offered a spot. Applicants are accepted from the rank list in order, based on their competitive criteria.  
  
Please see the current competitive criteria chart on the program page to get an idea of what admitting averages will most likely be considered by Admissions; please know the range posted is subject to change.   
  
Programs look at their competitive admitting averages throughout the admission year, so if the average is lowered, you may still be admissible. Or, you may be admissible if you present better grades in any current enrolments related to your admission evaluation that are completed by the course completion deadline (***view******[ ](http://macewan.ca/Admissions)***<u>***[MacEwan.ca/Admissions](http://macewan.ca/Admissions)***</u>*** > Dates & Deadlines***).   
  
As you could still be presented an offer of admission throughout the admissions cycle (up till the start of the term), continue tracking the status of your application throughout the admission process. Track your application online through the university's student information system, myStudentSystem, and check your MacEwan University email (via Gmail) account regularly for updates and requests related to your application from Admissions (***access both through******[ ](http://myportal.macewan.ca/)***<u>***[http://myportal.macewan.ca/](http://myportal.macewan.ca/)***</u>).
