## Can an advisor tell me which credits will transfer?

Advisors cannot pre-assess your transcripts for transfer credit.

To have your transfer credit evaluated, you would have to submit an application, be evaluated for admission, and receive and accept an admission offer. While your transfer credit cannot be evaluated in advance, you may be able to get a good idea of what transfer credit would be approved by utilizing the Transfer Alberta website ([http://transferalberta.alberta.ca/](http://transferalberta.alberta.ca/) ).

## What are the restrictions on transfer credit?

Students are given transfer credit on a per course basis which can be used towards a MacEwan credential. However, there is a limit to how much credit can be transferred and used. 

For instance, most students are only able to use a maximum of 60 credits of transfer credit towards a degree (which is 120 credits total). 

In addition, there are specific restrictions on how much MacEwan coursework must be used towards course requirements in the major and minor, you would need to check [calendar.macewan.ca](http://calendar.macewan.ca/) for these specific restrictions (called "degree regulations").

## How can I see my transfer credit report?

After you’ve been accepted into a program, you should review your transfer credit report to understand how it applies to your program of study.
