### For students who are new to MacEwan University - welcome! We are thrilled to have you here and encourage you to regularly visit our Student Support pages.
### The Student Support pages are here to help guide students through MacEwan University’s learning mangement system: **paskwâwi-mostos mêskanâs**.
### paskwâwi-mostos mêskanâs (also commonly refered to as *mêskanâs*), is where students can access course materials, engage with learning content and submit assignments. For a brief overview of mêskanâs, please watch the short video below:

### **Accessing mêskanâs:**
1. Log in to MacEwan University’s student portal: **[myportal](https://identity.macewan.ca/idp/profile/SAML2/POST/SSO?execution=e1s1)**. Enter your MacEwan **username **and **password**.
***If you are new to MacEwan, you will be sent your login information to your personal email account.
2. Once you have logged in to myportal, scroll through the ***Quick Links ***list (located on the left of the page) to find and click on ***paskwâwi-mostos mêskanâs***. If you need any additional IT-related help (included** **mêskanâs help) you can scroll to the bottom of **Quick Links** and select ***MacEwan Help Centre***.
3. Once in** **mêskanâs you can now access your course material. For more information on the basics on mêskanâs, please see below:

### **Important Info: **Please note that not every course at MacEwan University is available through mêskanâs. Please see below for reasons on why a course may not be visible in mêskanâs.
**A) **The Course does not have a mêskanâs component, meaning there is no online element to the course and the course will not be available online. If you have questions about the course, please contact your instructor.
**B)** The instructor has not yet made the course available. You can either:
**i)** Wait until first day of class. Please note that an instructor may not make the course available until the first day of class. In some cases, the instructor will not have an online element to the course and you will have to wait until the first day of class to meet with them in-person.
**ii)** If the course is an online-class and you cannot find your course online, please reach out to Tech Support ([MacEwan Help Centre](https://helpcentre.macewan.ca/)) for more assistance.
**C) **If you cannot view a course it may be because its hidden from view. To view all of your courses, please follow the steps below:
i) Select ***My courses*** tab at the top of the page.
ii) Ensure ***All ***is selected under ***Course overview***. By selecting ***All***, all of your courses should be visible.
