**Full-time students:**

For regular Fall and Winter term courses as well as most Spring/Summer courses, the student loan system will have the correct dates available for you to select when you apply for your student loan. Make sure to select the correct major (including “Not Declared”) before selecting your study dates.

If your courses follow non-standard timelines, which most often happens in the Spring/Summer term, you will need to enter your own start and end dates for the relevant study period. You can find these dates in the **Manage Classes** tile in **myStudentSystem**. Click **View My Classes** and **View My Exam Schedule** to see the dates. Use the first day of classes as your start date and the last day of exams as the end date.

**Part-time students:**

The part of your loan application that asks for your study dates, costs and courses must be filled in by a Financial Aid Advisor. You can talk to an advisor in person or simply email [studentloans@macewan.ca](mailto:studentloans@macewan.ca), asking for Page 3/Section 5 of the paper part-time loan application to be completed. You need to be registered into your classes before we can complete this page for you - waitlisted classes do not count. Be sure to let us know which term the application is for.

> ℹ️ *Note that this information applies to Canada and Alberta loans only. For loans from other provinces, refer to their respective websites.*
